Pre-CanSkate
Age 3 - 5: PreCanSkate
PreCanSkate is a component of the CanSkate program and is a great start for those skaters with little or no skating experience.
Our PreCanSkate program is 30 minutes in length and focuses on 8 essential skills needed to move safely and effectively on the ice, which will ready skaters for CanSkate.
Lessons are taught in a group format by our CanSkate Coaches and with volunteer Program Assistants.
Visual aids, props, toys and music are incorporated into our sessions to motivate skaters.
2026-2027 Season
We are pleased to present two days for Pre-CanSkate, for you to choose from, Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons.
Two 10 week sessions will run, (Fall and Winter).
Wednesdays - 6:10 - 6:40pm @Erin Community Centre
OR
Saturdays - 12:00 - 12:30pm @Erin Community Centre
Cost - $200 + $65 SC fee
Fall Session Starts: October 14 OR 17, 2026
Winter Session Starts: January 6 OR 9, 2027
*Please note - a CSA approved hockey/skating helmet is required by all skaters in this program. It is recommended that the helmet has a face guard.
