Maren (Wednesday)

Hey there! I’m so excited to be joining the HESC team on Wednesdays this season! I have been skating with Skate Canada Orangeville since I was 6 years old and have recently taken the next step to begin coaching. Skating has created life long friendships for me and given me so many exciting opportunities. Besides skating, I love to coach and play soccer. Working with children is something I have always loved to do, whether it be in a sports setting, or everyday at my job as a camp counsellor. I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone at HESC and learning new things everyday! See you on the ice! - Maren

OUR VOLUNTEERS
Role Models, Leaders, Supporters
Our volunteers and program assistants are invaluable members of our club. They are responsible for assisting the coaches in teaching and in many aspects of the CanSkate program. Having their help on the ice ensures that we can maintain a 1:10 or lower coach/program assistant-to-skater ratio. This ratio guarantees the best and safest delivery of our CanSkate program by allowing more personalized support leading to greater skater success and quicker progression. All of our volunteers and program assistants have been trained by a member of our professional coaching staff.
