Role Models, Leaders, Supporters
Our volunteers and program assistants are invaluable members of our club. They are responsible for assisting the coaches in teaching and in many aspects of the CanSkate program. Having their help on the ice ensures that we can maintain a 1:10 or lower coach/program assistant-to-skater ratio. This ratio guarantees the best and safest delivery of our CanSkate program by allowing more personalized support leading to greater skater success and quicker progression. All of our volunteers and program assistants have been trained by a member of our professional coaching staff.
Benedict Ball (Wednesday)
Benedict has played hockey for both Rep and House League in the EHMH for 8 years and had been a PA for the Hillsburgh-Erin Skate Club for the past 2 years. You can say he can do anything in a pair of skates! He loves to help kids learn how to skate in a fun way and has a very caring and confident nature. He is currently in grade 10 at St.James Catholic High School.
