Well the summer is drawing to a close *sigh* and all thoughts are on back to school. The Hillsburgh Erin Skating Club board have been hard at work over the last few months organizing fall and winter skating programs and registration is now open.

You will notice a few changes this year with the registration from previous years including the separate Skate Canada fee. This fee was normally included in your total cost, however to assist us with Skate Canada registrations, it has been moved to a separate item. As you probably expected, we have had to increase fees this year as our costs for ice, coaches and club fees have been increased. We have, however, managed to keep the increase to a minimum after two years of keeping them frozen.

Also this year we have added the ability to pay by credit card and have the option for instalments.

After having to sadly say  goodbye to Coach Vicki and Maren at the end of last season, we are pleased to announce that we have some new Coaches coming to the Hillsburgh Erin Skating Club for both Wednesday and Saturday! Alongside Coach John, we now have Coach Rebecca helping on Wednesday evenings. Some may have seen Rebecca before when she stepped in for Vicki previously.

We also have Coach Tiffany now for our Saturday programs in Hillsburgh. We are excited to have both Rebecca and Tiffany come to the Hillsburgh Erin Skating Club and think they are going to be a wonderful addition. You can find more information on our coaches under the Coaches and Volunteers tab.

We are tentatively planning on having another season end Show Case at the end of March, and more details are to follow. Just like last year, we are hoping to run extra lessons (at no additional cost to you) in March for practice. Both Fall and Winter participants will be welcome to join. Keep checking this page and emails for more details!

We are also looking for High School students in need of  Community Volunteer hours to help us either on the ice as Program assistants or off the ice with setup and reception duties. If you know someone who might be interested, please reach out to Val Bush by email at hillsburgherinsc@gmail.com. We have helped many students in the past reach their hour requirements while having fun!

You will probably notice many other small changes as we get into the season, and we hope to continue to make this a wonderful and thriving Skating Club. We are always looking for ways to improve and welcome your feedback.

We look forward to seeing you all on the ice!
